Like the flame of a candle flickering in the night, so too is motherhood—the space in between all the intense joy, gratitude, bright spots and darkness. No one captures this beauty quite like Kendall Reynolds, new mother and owner of Klayhouse Ceramics on the North Shore of Massachusetts. When we first saw her recent art installation, we knew we were one and the same. Instantly filled with emotions and feeling completely seen by a woman we’d never met, we felt compelled to share her art with other mothers and caregivers so that they, too, could feel seen and loved on their unique journeys. So two mom-owned businesses birthed the Minot x Klayhouse Mother’s Day collaboration: a handmade bergamot, vanilla and coconut candle housed in a glazed ceramic vessel with soft, organic curves, perfect for a moment of heartfelt reflection. Once you have enjoyed the candle, the vessel makes a beautiful piece of functional art in your home.
